Mustafa was caught after he was found with three pills and gold worth Rs 35 lakh inside his body
Malappuram: A traveller who smuggled 35 lakh rupees worth of gold via the Karipur airport was detained. Police detained Mustafa (30), a Tirur resident who had just arrived from Dubai, outside the terminal. Additionally, from his body collected a total of 636 grammes of gold that had been hidden in a mixed form.
At 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Mustafa took an Air India Express aircraft from Dubai to Karipur. After the customs check, he was let go, and the police, acting on a tip, detained him.
