31 Christians Killed by the attack from Fulani Muslim in Mangu, Plateau State, Nigeria; Viral Video: Shouts "Infedel" and slit throat of Christian by Muslim Mob
In Plateau state, Nigeria, Fulani herdsmen and other terrorists attacked villages, killing at least 25 Christians on 24th January 2024. The attacks began on January 22 and resulted in the displacement of thousands of people.
Senator Diket Plang called on the armed forces and security apparatus to protect the citizens and urged authorities to investigate the attacks. The area is now under control, and police have been deployed to find the assailants.
Similar attacks occurred in Bokkos County, where six Christians were killed. Totaling 31 slaughtering of Christians.
Nigeria remains the deadliest place for Christians, with 4,118 people killed for their faith from October 2022 to September 2023.
Nigeria also had the highest number of kidnappings of Christians and attacks on churches and Christian buildings. Fulani herdsmen, who are predominantly Muslim, have been targeting Christians and Christian symbols.
Christian leaders believe the attacks are motivated by a desire to take over Christian lands and impose Islam.
