Over 8,000 Christians killed in 13 months (Jan 2023 to Jan 2024) in Nigeria by Islamic Terrorism
A human rights group, Intersociety, has sounded an alarm over the potential extinction of Christianity and freedom of worship in Nigeria.
The group reported that over 8,200 Christians were killed by Islamic Terror Groups and more than 8,000 abducted from January 2023 to January 2024. The report highlights a grim picture of religious intolerance, with over 150,000 religious-related deaths since the Boko Haram uprising in July 2009.
Intersociety criticized Christian leaders for prioritizing materialism over their divine calling, contributing to the faith's peril.
The organization warns that if the current trend continues, certain religions may vanish from Nigeria within the next 50 years.
