Austrian officials report an ISIS-inspired suspect planned a suicide attack at a Taylor Swift concert
Austrian officials have stopped a potential terror attack at a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna, revealing a scheme involving three teenagers.
The main suspect, a 19-year-old who supports ISIS, intended to execute a suicide attack with explosives and knives. Authorities say a person who supports ISIS was influenced by online content.
Police authorities found a large stash of chemicals, explosive devices, detonators, and 21,000 euros in fake money at the home of a 19-year-old ISIS supporter who had been influenced and radicalized by online content.
Two other suspects, aged 17 and 15, were also arrested.
The cancellation of the concerts has saddened fans, but community events have helped bring back the excitement of the tour.
