Crores Of Rupees Swindled Under Cover Of Waqf Properties In Mattannur; Case Registered Against Three Including Muslim League State Secretary
KANNUR: A complaint has been lodged that crores of rupees were swindled under the cover of Waqf properties in Mattannur. The police have registered a case against three people, including the Muslim League state secretary, in connection with the incident. The Mattannur police have registered a case against Muslim League state secretary Abdurahiman Kallai, M C Kunjahammad and U Maharoof.
The case has been registered under four sections including cheating and forgery. The fraud took place under the guise of the construction of mattannur shopping complex and renovation of the mosque. The complaint is that there has been a fraud of Rs 5 crore.
When the documents are examined, it is clear that the fraud took place. Mosque committee leaders are involved in economic offences.
