Madrasa teacher sentenced to 26 years rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl

Kannur: For sexually assaulting a female child, a madrasa teacher was given a punishment of 26 years in prison and a fine of Rs. 75,000. The occurrence happened in 2017. A 12-year-old madrasa child complained that his teacher, Mohammad Shafi, had persistently abused her.

He was then detained in accordance with the POCSO Act. The Taliparamba POCSO court found K.V. Muhammed Shafi, a resident of Udayagiri, guilty.
