19-year-old girl arrested in Karipur claims she smuggled gold at her husband's request.

MALAPPURAM: A lady detained from Dubai has said that she smuggled gold mixture from Dubai through Karipur airport at the insistence of her husband. Shahala (19), a Kasargod native, was apprehended with gold near the Karipur airport late at night.

Initial investigations indicated that Shahala is smuggling gold for the first time. In this context, the police are undertaking a thorough investigation. The seized gold will be handed over to the court. Customs will also get a thorough report for additional investigation.
